Prior to forming Laister Dickson, Wendy was Manager of corporate press and public relations for Richard Branson's Virgin Group. Laister's move into management and the formation of Magus Entertainment in the early 1990s came through her relationship with Aerosmith, whom she had worked with for many years.

  • Natalie Schumann

ARTIST MANAGER: Patrick Droney, Bret McKenzie, Adam Peters, Julian Lerner

An East Coast native/Midwesterner at heart, Natalie followed many of her early-aughts teen contemporaries and decided to pursue a career in magazines after watching Jenna Rink work her magic in 13 Going On 30. After graduating from Indiana University with a degree in journalism, she moved to Birmingham, Alabama, for what was supposed to be a temporary publishing fellowship but eventually became a six-year stint at Country Living, where she covered everything from priceless vintage collectibles to farm animal veterinary advice.

Meanwhile, her appreciation for narrative songwriting and powerful lyricism — sparked by a life-altering introduction to early Taylor Swift by her ninth grade homeroom pal, Kerry — had developed into a serious interest in the music industry. She moved to Nashville in 2021 to join the marketing team at Craft Recordings/Concord Music Group, where she led social media efforts across a long list of historic labels and artists, including Stax Records, Creedence Clearwater Revival, R.E.M., Evanescence, & many more.

In October 2023, she unexpectedly fell victim to the charms of autumn in New York and signed a lease in Brooklyn several months later. Natalie joined the Magus team in spring 2025.

  • Hannah Friedman

    JUNIOR ARTIST MANAGER

From an early age, Hannah’s instinct was always to move closer to music—literally. She grew up surrounding herself with music in both creative and analytical ways, developing a deep curiosity not just for how songs sound, but how they work.

Hannah went on to study music at Cornell University, where she immersed herself in songwriting, arrangement, production, and collaboration. Alongside her coursework, she was heavily involved in Electric Buffalo Records, Cornell’s student-run label, where she played a key role in supporting and helping run A&R and management efforts. It was there that she began translating her creative instincts into a professional context—working closely with artists to shape, support, and elevate their ideas.

Drawn to the intersection of artistry and execution, Hannah found artist management to be a natural extension of how she had always engaged with music. She is especially passionate about fostering artists’ creativity in a way that feels both intentional and authentic, helping bring their ideas to life without losing what makes them distinct.

After interning with Magus for two summers, Hannah is excited to return to the team full-time. She currently supports the roster with particular involvement in supporting Daisy the Great.

FAVORITE ARTISTS: Lady Gaga, Trousdale, RAYE, Remi Wolf, Madison Cunningham, Lizzy McAlpine, Lake Street Dive, AURORA

FUN FACT: She can play more than four instruments.
